Privacy Policy

The short version

• We use Fathom Analytics for anonymous page-view statistics. It doesn't use cookies, doesn't fingerprint you, and can't identify you.
• If you register, your email address is used only to log you in and to send account emails such as password resets and email verification.
• You are never added to a mailing list. We don't send newsletters, promotions, or marketing of any kind.
• We don't sell, rent, or share your personal information with anyone.

Browsing without an account

Item pages, price history, search, and the calculators are all available without signing in. When you browse, the only thing we collect is anonymous usage statistics through Fathom Analytics, a privacy-focused analytics service.

Fathom tells us things like which pages are popular, roughly where visitors come from, and what browsers they use. It does this without cookies and without storing any information that could identify you. We can see that a page was viewed; we cannot see who viewed it. You can read Fathom's own privacy policy for the details of how they handle data.

Like any website, our servers also produce standard technical logs, which may include your IP address, browser type, and the pages you requested. These are used only to keep the site running, diagnose problems, and protect against abuse, and are not combined with any other data to identify you.

If you create an account

An account lets you save favorites, build item lists, save searches, add private tags, and track more than one in-game account. To provide that, we store:

• Your email address and a username. Your email is used to log you in and to send account emails only: verifying your address and resetting your password. That's it. It is not used for marketing, not added to any list, and not shared with anyone.
• Your password, stored only as a one-way hash. We can't read it, and neither can anyone else.
• What you save on the site: favorite items, item lists, saved searches, personal tags, the names you give your in-game accounts, and in-app notifications. This is your data, kept so it's there when you come back.

The names you give your in-game accounts are labels for your own use. You can call them whatever you like, and we don't verify them against or connect them to any RuneScape account.

Cookies and local storage

We don't use cookies for tracking or advertising. The site sets a small number of strictly necessary cookies that make it work:

• A session cookie, which keeps you signed in while you use the site.
• A security cookie, which protects forms against cross-site request forgery.
• A "remember me" cookie, set only if you tick that box when logging in, so you stay signed in between visits.

Your browser's local storage is used to remember display preferences such as your light or dark theme and whether the sidebar is collapsed. These never leave your device.

Third parties

We don't use advertising networks, social media trackers, or marketing tools of any kind. Your account information is never shared with or sold to any third party. The only outside services involved in serving the site are:

• Fathom Analytics for the anonymous page-view statistics described above.
• Bunny Fonts for the site's typeface. It is a privacy-first font service that does not log or track visitors.
• Our content delivery network for item images. Like any web request, your browser sends standard connection details, such as your IP address, when it fetches an image. We do not use this to identify or track you.

How long we keep your data

Your account and the data attached to it are kept for as long as your account exists.

Fathom's statistics are anonymous from the moment they're collected and don't contain anything that can be traced back to you.

Your rights and choices

• Change your details. Your username, email address, and password can be updated from your profile at any time.
• Ask us anything. If you want a copy of the data we hold about you, want something corrected, or have any other privacy question, email us at [email protected] and we'll sort it out.

Children

GE Watch is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.
